Your Wedding Processional

There are no set rules when it comes to your wedding except for the rules you set. But we understand the significance of tradition and how confusing some can be, including the processional order. We’ve put together some of the orders that we’ve seen and they all look beautiful. Do what works for you and your party. It is your day!

Option 1:
Bride’s Mother
Groom
Best Man
Groomsmen
Bridesmaids
Maid/Matron of Honor
Flower Girl & Ring Bearer
Bride & Father, or whoever is giving her away

Option 2:
Best Man
Groom with Mother
Groom’s Father with Bride’s Mother
Sponsors (if you have included Sponsors)
Flower Girl & Ring Bearer
Bridesmaids & Groomsman Pairs
Maid/Matron of Honor
Bride & Father, or whoever is giving her away

Option 3:
“Couples of every orientation are bending the rules to customize their ceremonies so feel free to take a route less traveled to the altar. You can ask a person of mutual importance to escort the two of you on each arm. Or walk one behind the other with your respective parents, though you’ll still have to figure out who goes first (rock-paper-scissors?). If neither one of you is being “given away,” proceed hand-in-hand. Or consider an alternate floor plan—dual aisles. Dividing the seating into three sections, separated by two aisles, allows you each a path to the altar. Just keep in mind: Separate, simultaneous routes require a second photographer.” – Martha Stewart Weddings

These are just a few of the many different arrangements that you can do. Talk to your wedding planner or ceremony coordinator and tell them what you envision. They will be able to tell you what will work best.
